Adult day care (also called adult day services) is a community-based program offering seniors supervised care, social activities, meals, and health monitoring during daytime hours — typically Monday through Friday.
Unlike residential care, seniors return home each evening. It’s the ideal solution for families where the senior needs daytime supervision and stimulation but is not yet ready for full-time residential placement.
Adults with early to moderate Alzheimer’s or dementia who are still ambulatory benefit greatly from structured daily routine and mental stimulation.
Families where the primary caregiver works full-time can trust that their loved one is safe, engaged, and well-cared-for throughout the day.
Older adults at risk of social isolation gain friendship, companionship, and a sense of community through daily adult day programs.

Yes. Many families start with 2–3 days per week to ease the transition. We’ll adjust the schedule based on your loved one’s comfort and your family’s needs. For seniors with cognitive challenges, consistency and routine tend to be most beneficial.
Our staff is trained in first aid and emergency response procedures. In any medical emergency, we contact 911 immediately and notify the designated family contact. All health-related incidents are documented and families are kept fully informed.
Helping Hands is a small residential care home — not a large institutional facility. Fewer participants means more personalized attention, quieter surroundings, and a warm, homelike atmosphere that many seniors — especially those with dementia — respond to much better than large centers.
